The Camp Store

The Camp Store is the restaurant and general store at South Carlsbad State Beach, near the campground entrance on Carlsbad Boulevard. It is a private concession operating under contract with California State Parks. It serves wood-oven pizza with beer and wine on the bluff above the ocean, has live music from local artists, and sells ice, firewood, groceries and beach rental gear. It is open to the public, not only to campers.

What It Sells

State Parks' campground map lists groceries, snacks, ice, firewood, gifts and beach rental items. Firewood for the campground fire rings is sold here; State Parks asks campers not to bring firewood from far away ("buy it where you burn it"). The store's own site adds alcohol and everyday camping supplies.

Tables and the Fire Pit

The Camp Store takes a limited number of reservations for bluff-top and patio tables and its fire pit on select nights. You do not need a reservation to eat there.

Parking

State Parks says on-site parking at the Camp Store is limited and recommends carpooling, rideshare, or parking nearby and walking in. Accessible parking is on the north side of the building, and the route is generally accessible. Day visitors who drive in pay the park's day-use fee.

Not Run by State Parks

The Camp Store is a concession. For questions about its hours, menu or reservations, contact the store through its website. For campsites and park rules, contact California State Parks; see contact.
